About Us

The Early Childhood Center

We are a high achieving learning community where confident leaders are developed in a creative and nurturing environment.

Wyandotte Public Schools strongly believes in the importance of providing our children with high quality, developmentally appropriate, learning environments to give all students the very best start at learning. All of our classrooms implement the HighScope Infant & Toddler or HighScope Preschool Curriculum, placing an emphasis on active participatory learning. Children's interests and choices are the foundation of our classrooms, as our staff support children by playing an active, and intentional, role in guiding and extending student learning. Our Early Childhood Programs provide a daily balance of developmentally appropriate learning, while also incorporating curriculum elements of our district's Kindergarten classrooms.

To meet the diverse needs of our Wyandotte families, and the surrounding community, several different early childhood programs are offered:

 Infant & Toddler Program

 3 Year-Old Preschool

4 Year-Old Preschool

Free 4 Year-Old Preschool
(for qualified families)

Please feel free to contact our Main Office at 734-759-5700  for help in deciding the best program for your child.

Our staff looks forward to helping your child have the very best start possible!

Best regards,

Melissa Petty
